Allana Ferguson bio
Allana first represented Australia in Rugby Sevens back in 2013. Then, after suffering several knee injuries through time, Allana switched to rugby union. Allana was a star at the helm of New South Wales in her debut Women's Rugby League match against Queensland and took part in during 2015. Allana added radio to the roster, and makes frequent appearances in 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana also holds a teaching degree. Allana Ferguson has the unique accomplishment of playing for Australia in three sports that include Rugby sevens (rugby league) along with touch, and also the union of rugby. Allana Ferguson, a Jillaroos football player who was in rugby league for many years, has had to end her professional career prematurely after she tore her ACL for the fourth time. The 25-year-old has previously tore the ligament at the same knee while she was between the ages of 15 and 17 and, after a third tear this meant that Ferguson's playing time was up. Ferguson, JILLAROOS playmaker and the fourth year player to be injured in the ACL, needed to retire in the early hours. Ferguson suffered an injury in November in a practice session. The Courier Mail confirmed that the news came this week. Ferguson has been the female rugby league's face over the last few seasons.
